A current Enhanced DBS certificate is required for England and Wales. Scottish applicants must hold a valid PVG Scheme membership.

A current Paediatric First Aid certificate is not always mandatory but is strongly preferred and will significantly improve your chances of placement.

We ask for a minimum of 1–2 years of professional childcare experience. This can include previous nanny roles, nursery work, or au pair positions. Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g. CACHE, NNEB, Level 3 Childcare) are a bonus but not always essential.
Yes. You must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate (or PVG Scheme record if based in Scotland) before being placed with a family. If your existing DBS is more than 3 years old, we will ask you to apply for an updated one. If you don't have one yet, you can apply online — the process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
There is no fee for nannies to register with Nannvo. We are a family-side fee agency only. You simply apply, complete the vetting process, and we do the hard work of finding the right family match for you — completely free of charge.
Once your application and vetting are complete, placements can happen within days to a few weeks depending on your availability, location, and the types of roles you're looking for. High-demand areas like London and Manchester often have faster turnaround times.
