Why we built Nannvo

Finding a reliable, trusted nanny in the UK is harder than it should be. Families spend weeks searching through informal word-of-mouth networks, unverified listings, or expensive agencies that don't put safety first. Nannies, on the other hand, often struggle to find consistent, fairly paid work - despite being skilled, dedicated professionals.

We built Nannvo to change that. A marketplace where every nanny is rigorously verified, every placement is backed by full vetting, and every family can find the right match with complete confidence.

What makes Nannvo different

Unlike generic job boards or unverified directories, every nanny on Nannvo is personally vetted. We check:

  • DBS Enhanced Certificate (UK's highest background check level)
  • Photo ID and right to work in the UK
  • Professional qualifications and certifications
  • Minimum two professional references
  • Interview and suitability assessment

And every placement through Nannvo is matched to nannies who hold verified public liability insurance. We check certificates before introduction; eligible new nannies may receive up to £59 towards their first annual policy. Dispute resolution and a dedicated support team are included.

Is Nannvo a nanny agency?
Nannvo is a managed marketplace - not a traditional agency. We handle all the vetting, DBS checks, and matching, but you connect directly with your nanny and agree your own terms. This means you get the safety of an agency without the high agency fees.
How does Nannvo vet its nannies?
Every nanny on Nannvo goes through an Enhanced DBS check, identity and right-to-work verification, minimum two professional reference checks, and a suitability interview before they can connect with families. We do not allow unverified profiles.
Which areas does Nannvo cover?
We cover families and nannies across the whole of the UK - including all London boroughs, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Liverpool. We're expanding constantly, so if your area isn't listed, get in touch.
How do I get started?
Simply visit our Hire a Nanny page, tell us what you need (type of nanny, schedule, location, child ages), and we'll match you with vetted, available nannies within 24–48 hours. No commitment required to enquire.
